Notmail is hotmail again

This really is getting very dull. But normal email service has been restored, so i'm back on my old email address. If you sent me a message in the last twenty four hours - from roughly 1630 on Friday 22 June 2007 to 1630 on Saturday 23 June 2007 - you would have got a message indicating that my email address had been terminated for ever. Luckily that's not so; please resend any messages that got that response to my usual hotmail address. And anyone else can please keep sending messages to my usual hotmail address as normal.

I promise to get out more. Into the waves, and amongst the dolphin, the algae and the mackerel.

An observation: The great thing about kayaking is that one knows one is going to get wet, unlike say hill walking where one hopes one might not get wet and will invariably be disasppointed, and soaked before the day is out. This June is already twice as wet as the average year. In Valentia, just across the bay, they had half of the total month of June's rainfall on the morning of the first of June, and it hasn't let up much since.

Those who recall that this year i bought snow and hail to the Balearic Islands in May, a lack of snow - on one trip - to the far north of Scandinavia in February and a mix of subnormal temperatures mixed with sudden rises in temperature to Arctic circle a month after that, and that i missed the two unseasonal heat waves in springtime Ireland won't be surprised that i am dragging extremes of weather in my trail. I'm not suprised, anyway, though slighty pee-ed off/and on.

Maybe now that we're heading back into dark and gloom, post solstice, there will be an unseasonal up turn in the weather. Otherwise i'll just continue to be glad that i'm paddling and not walking.
